From Vie la Vie you can visit various beautiful villages and cities like Épinal, Remiremont, Luxeuil-les-Bains and Nancy, all about half an hour to an hour’s drive from Bains-les-Bains. You can also make beautiful trips to the Parc des Ballons and its magnificent waterfalls or to the well-known ski resorts Gérardmer and La Bresse a little more to the east.
Épinal is the capital of the departement Vosges and the heart of the spinning mills and the weaving mills. The city is above all known for its world famous chidren images, called “images d’Épinal”. In the old part of the city you can find the Place des Vosges, an old square surrounded by houses dating back to the renaissance. On the outskirts of Épinal you can find Château d’Épinal. As the castle is built on a hill, it offers a splendid view over the city.

Luxeuil-les-Bains wit hits historical centre and beautiful buildings is absolutely worth visiting. The ground at Luxeuil-les-Bains contains important archeological remains, valuable traces of the city’s history. Yearly events are organised among which the “L’Art dans la rue” (streetmarket art) in September. Luxeuil-les-Bains is also known as the wellness-capital.

Nancy is located about 1,5 hours’ drive from Bains-les-Bains. Nancy combines the schools of the renaissance, art nouveau and art deco in an astonishing way. The old city centre, Vieille Ville, is a true travel through time. Close to the famous Place Stanislas is the Pépinière, a lush paradise in the city centre. The many shops allow for good and varied shopping.
